Dr. Scott Czujko earned his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education Studies, with an emphasis in Exercise Science, from the University of Delaware in 1992. He went on to receive his Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Touro College in 1996, where he was honored with the High Clinical Achievement Award for exemplary clinical performance during his internships.
After graduation, Dr. Czujko spent six years at University Hospital at Stony Brook, where his experience included aquatics, orthotics, vestibular and balance rehabilitation, and sports-related cases. He joined North Fork Physical Therapy in 2002, earning board certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2003. He later became McKenzie Certified in 2004, becoming one of only a handful of McKenzie Certified therapists in Suffolk County, and earned his Certified Hand Therapist credential in 2005, with recertification twice since then. In 2006, he completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy through Touro College, and in 2008 he became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Dr. Czujko is dedicated to providing expert consultation for musculoskeletal conditions and referring patients to other appropriate healthcare providers when needed. He believes patient education is essential and strives to provide physical therapy that combines education, management, and compassion through individualized treatment plans. He continues to expand his skills through ongoing continuing education and a commitment to the highest quality of care.
Dr. Victoria Shimkus is an outpatient orthopedic physical therapist with more than five years of experience helping patients reduce pain, restore function, and return to the activities they enjoy most. She is known for her compassionate, patient-centered approach and for developing individualized plans of care based on each patient’s goals, lifestyle, and needs. She values building strong relationships with her patients and creating a supportive environment where they feel heard, motivated, and confident throughout their recovery.
Victoria earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion from American University, completed a post-baccalaureate pre-medical certificate, and received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Stony Brook University.
Her clinical interests include pediatric and geriatric care, sports-related injuries, and the pre- and post-operative management of upper and lower extremity conditions. She is also certified in vestibular rehabilitation and works closely with patients experiencing dizziness, vertigo, and balance disorders.
Victoria is currently pursuing her Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification and a strength and conditioning specialization. She combines evidence-based practice with a supportive approach, focusing on helping patients feel confident in their progress and achieve meaningful, lasting results.
Dr. Beth Jansen earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Touro College (2007), receiving the Academic Excellence Award. Her prior clinical affiliations have included Bellevue Hospital (acute care), St. Charles Hospital (pediatric/orthopedic outpatient), and Peconic Bay Medical Center (post-surgical/long-term care).
With 18 years of experience at North Fork Physical Therapy, Beth specializes in spinal conditions through the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) — a research-based approach to the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. She has completed all four McKenzie courses and maintains active membership in the McKenzie Institute USA.
Beth has a particular passion for outpatient manual therapy, where the wide range of patient presentations and the opportunity to apply a variety of hands-on techniques allow her to deliver individualized, effective care to each patient she treats. Her continuing education includes New York Presbyterian Hospital conferences, Hospital for Special Surgery CME courses, and manual therapy for orthopedics.
