Alex Kapoutsos is a physical therapist assistant at North Fork Physical Therapy. He developed an interest in the field after having reconstructive knee surgery and experiencing the benefit of physical therapy when he was 16 years old. Since graduating from Suffolk County Community College in 2009, Alex has gained clinical experience working in outpatient clinics focused on orthopedics and sports rehabilitation. His clinical strengths include treatments such as soft tissue mobilization, taping, and functional therapeutic exercise. Participating in sports such as soccer, track, and golf has helped Alex gained an appreciation for the importance of a balanced musculoskeletal system, and he works to help patients regain function so that they may return to unrestricted activities and improve performance. In his spare time he enjoys fitness training, playing golf, and performing golf-specific fitness assessments as a certified golf fitness instructor through the Titleist Performance Institute. Alex is currently applying to graduate school and seeks to become a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
